How accurate is Whoop's pedometer?

Based on reviews posted on popular review sites as well as from Whoop's website, Whoop performs very well in terms of pedometer accuracy relative to other fitness tracker brands.
The review site wareable.com gives Whoop excellent ratings for pedometer accuracy in a review posted on its website. Here's a brief quote from this review:
Strain isn’t only built up during a workout, however. You’re meant to wear the Whoop Strap 3.0 constantly outside of the gym or track. It’s then taking measurements while you go for a walk, play with your kids, or carry the shopping. It will also detect when you have an elevated heart rate due to stress or other external influences. In my case, watching football leaves me with a higher than normal heart rate for 90 minutes.
Based on a review posted on tomsguide.com, Whoop was rated as fairly average for pedometer accuracy relative to competing fitness tracker brands. Check out the entire review here. Specifically, this reviewer pointed out the following:
Whoop’s activity score is different from most others. Your strain score, which is based on your heart rate, is a measurement of how difficult the day or a given activity is for you. In other words, if Usain Bolt and I ran the same 100 meters in the same amount of time, I would show a higher strain score than he would because of his physical advantages over my casual running self.
